Students and staff at Blind River’s École secondaire catholique Jeunesse-Nord take great pride in pursuing their links with Golden Birches through the school’s community project.
Grade 9 and 10 students will prepare and offer activities for the residents during their monthly visits. This group of students are all members of the “Youth Involvement” (Action-Jeunesse) committed.
One visible contribution took place on October 14 when the committee undertook its first yearly visit at Golden Birches. Students decorated small pumpkins which were presented to each resident who were very pleased to renew their relationship with students!
The next visit will take place during Remembrance Day.
