Sault-native Matthew O’Connor, who got his start with the Ottawa Senators last season for one game, is continuing in the AHL this season.
So far O’Connor has has five starts with only one win but a 2.82 goals-against-average.
He also picked up an assist so far this season.
The Boston University product hopefully will get another start with the Senators this season, so keep your radar locked on him.
Other Sault-natives, Chris Thorburn and Jordan Nolan have yet to get a point so far this season but Colin Miller made the first splash with an assist early on.
Blake Speers, as you probably already know, as reported in the Sault Star, has been called back down to the Sault Greyhounds from the New Jersey Devils after only 3 games.
