Highway 17 between Wawa and Sault Ste. Marie has been closed due to a serious motor vehicle collision near Pancake Bay Provincial Park. The highway is closed at Pinewood Drive (north end) and at Hwy. 563 (Batchawana Bay).
A driver at the scene has posted to ‘Northern Ontario Traffic Alerts – Alertes Routiers’ that ‘Pickup crossed the center line and head on into a semi’. There is unconfirmed reports of a fatality.
