The Sault Ste. Marie City Council Review Committee is in the process of looking at the size and shape of geographical wards and evaluating the composition of City Council.
Public feedback is essential and encouraged as part of the review process. Residents and stakeholders can submit comments online and in-person.

Mon., November 14 – Civic Centre (Russ Ramsay Board Room) – 99 Foster Drive – 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Tues., November 22 – John Rhodes Community Centre (Upstairs Classroom) – 260 Elizabeth St. – 7 to 8 p.m.
Currently Sault Ste. Marie is divided into six wards with two councillors representing each ward.
The City Council Review Committee will make recommendations to City Council regarding Council composition and wards. Sault Ste. Marie City Council will make the final decision on whether or not to accept the recommendations of the Committee. Any changes that occur as a result of the review will come into effect for the municipal election taking place October 2018.
