The Most Christmassy place in the Sault This Weekend

The hardest part about the annual Festival of Trees is deciding on the best one. It’s hard to do when you see the wonderland of decorated trees at the Machine Shop.

The ballroom and lobby of  The Machine Shop transformed into a wonderland of festive decorations and beautifully decorated trees and wreaths from local businesses. You probably won’t find a more “Christmassy” place than the Machine Shop over the weekend.

img_0138This is the 18th annual Festival of Trees, an event that has grown by leaps and bounds with new features added such as Christmas crafts in the Northern Dental Care Children’s Activity Centre. The Centre is open throughout the Festival and is included with admission. Children will also enjoy complimentary face painting at various times throughout the Festival.

The Secret Shop is also something new. Children are given the opportunity to purchase gifts for family and friends and no Moms and Dads are allowed. The gifts are even gift wrapped before they leave the festival.

One of the biggest draws is the raffle and auction of the beautifully decorated trees, wreaths and over 40 other items donated by local businesses and a variety of professional sports organizations. Items include an assortment of Sports Collectables, NHL Tickets, Hotel Stays, Spa Treatments, Gift Baskets, and more.
