The Sault Remembers

On a crisp November morning , hundreds gathered at the Sault Ste. Marie Cenotaph to mark Remembrance Day locally and remember.

The 20 minute ceremony held prior to the main event at 11am begins with a march from the Essar Centre along Bay Street to the Court House and then along Queen Street to the Essar Centre.

Terry Sheehan, Sault Ste. Marie MP issued this statement :

Today, we pause in special ceremony to recognize the outstanding courage and sacrifices of Canada’s Veterans. I am so proud of all those that have served and continue to serve our great Country.

Today, as on all days we express our deepest gratitude to those that have protected our democratic rights and freedoms.

“At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.”

Lest we forget
