Northern Credit Union (NCU) is awarding True North Adventure Game leaderboard champions by donating $3,000 divided between the top five selected charities.

Help Send a Youth to Rainbow Camp (Welcome Friend Association) from Thessalon, Ontario, is the October big winner, receiving a total donation of $1,500 from NCU. Rainbow Camp, was the charity selected by the top four scorers of True North Adventure, and was among the top five charities Northerners chose to support.

In second place, the Coniston Food Bank will be receiving $600 from NCU as a top selected charity and beneficiary of a top leaderboard champion.

Additional recipients include The Veterans Commemorative Monument from Sault Ste. Marie, PADDLE On! (PADDLE) from North Bay, and We Are Not Alone (Learning Disabilities Association of Sudbury) from Sudbury, which will all be receiving $300 donations.

“Northerners put their Northern knowledge to the test in October and fought hard for leadership glory” said NCU Senior Vice President of Sales, Marketing & Channel Management, Tony Dunham. “We are committed to supporting our communities and are looking forward to seeing which charities will be crowned the winners in November.”

Players can contribute to or nominate good causes that are highlighted at truenorthstrong.ca, Northern Credit Union’s community support website.

Donations are made based on two separate leaderboards. A donation of $1,500 will be divided between charities selected by the top 10 players, and an additional $1,500 will be distributed amongst the top five charities based on the total points of all players.
