Sault Ste. Marie 2016 Christmas Cheer

Christmas is most truly Christmas when we celebrate it by giving the light of love to those who need it most!

During this holiday season, Christmas Cheer is very excited to announce that they will be able to brighten up the holidays for approximately 1,700 families in Sault Ste. Marie and the surrounding area.

That’s almost 200 more than last year!

christmascheer2christmascheer15“We’re great on gifts and canned goods,” Christmas Cheer Convenor, Diane Marshall told SaultOnline.com. The only concern is the cost of purchasing fresh food items for the families.”

christmascheer1christmascheer3Christmas Cheer is very pleased with the amount of support they have seen from the  community, not only through donations christmascheer7christmascheer9but through the volunteers that come out to support the effort as well. Close to 500 volunteers come out to help on delivery day alone, including the local Army Reserves, Firefighters, Shaw Cable and many individuals, to ensure that every gift and food item is delivered to a family in need.

christmascheer4christmascheer11“A special thank you goes out to all those who have donated, including Sutherland who is donating close to $2000.00 in gift cards this year.” shared Marshall.
