Drivers needed For Christmas Day

The Sault Community Soup Kitchen is seeking out local residents to help shuttle people to and from the annual Community Christmas Dinner at North82 restaurant on Christmas Day.

Over 300 people attended the dinner in 2015 and the Soup Kitchen expects to see that or more showing up Christmas Day.

The actual dinner runs from 11am to 2pm and  hosted by North82 a tradition for almost 20 years, helps those in need.

Those attending the dinner will need a ticket to be admitted. Tickets of course are free and can be picked up at the James Street Community Soup Kitchen Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

Those attending who need a ride can make arrangements at the soup kitchen. The deadline is December 21.

Drivers who can spare a few hours willing to volunteer their time can call the soup kitchen or email the facility at [email protected]

  1. Why do they not have a bus to pick people up and drop them off instead of trying to find numerous people that are busy with their own affairs on Christmas day?
