Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in her 101st year.
Beloved grandmother of Kim Kampian and her husband Peter of Cambridge, Ontario and Melissa Daly and her husband Dennis of Queensland, Australia. Cherished great grandmother of Andrew, Stephen and Kevin Kampian and Matthew and Shannon Daly.
Dear aunt of Marva Chinchilla of Hamilton and Wendy Jewell of Windsor. Also survived by several great nieces and nephews. Lovingly remembered as Nanny Hellin by the Kuuskman family.
Predeceased by husbands Samuel Syrjala and Kauko Koivisto and daughter Elsa Kara, loving companion Alex Kuuskman and sister Lillian Janstrom.
Hellin lived life to the fullest and proudly celebrated her 100th birthday in May 2016 with her family and friends at a party held in her honour at her favourite place, the Sault Ste. Marie Casino.
In respecting her wishes, a private family service will be held.
