RIDE check nets no charges

This past weekend officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service and RCMP continued with their participation in the 2016 Festive Ride Program. A total of 934 vehicles were checked and 5 roadside screening tests were administered. As a result, no criminal or Highway Traffic Act charges were laid and not a single licence suspension was issued.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is committed to ensuring the safety of the motoring public. We will continue to work with our partners and other local police agencies to keep impaired drivers off of our roads.
