On December 8, 2016 the Sault Area Hospital Volunteer Association hosted a Bake Sale & More in an effort to raise money towards their goal of $200,000. Within the next 2 years, SAH Volunteer Association, in conjunction with SAH Foundation, hopes to reach their goal and put the money towards the purchase of a brand new CT Scanner for the hospital.
“There are approximately 500 volunteers who are all members of the association and we’re doing our part to see what we can do,” shared Richard Wark, a member of the SAH Volunteer Association.”Every dollar that we raise through bake sales or any other events that we have in the hospital or in the community will go
towards the CT Scanner.”
All the baking for the bake sale was contributed by volunteers, who then helped to run the event and create a festive environment for everyone.
In addition to the Christmas treats, a few of the SAH Volunteers participated in some Christmas Karaoke. The front lobby was bustling with activity.
The SAH Volunteer Association has already reached a fundraising milestone, raising $100,000 towards their ultimate goal of $200,000.
