The Government of Canada is helping the Town of Thessalon to reduce the operating costs of its community arena by adding styrofoam insulation and metal siding to two of the arena’s walls. Thanks to a $14,307 contribution from FedNor, the town anticipates the upgrades will reduce energy consumption and building maintenance, as well as prolong the life of the arena’s heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment.
“On behalf of the town residents, I would like to thank the Government of Canada for its investment in our largest and most widely used municipal facility. The assistance is a win-win for us.
