Guy walks out with $700 in groceries


On January 12th, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 29 year old Marc Major or Taskar Drive in relation to a theft from a local grocery store.

It is alleged that at 1:20 p.m. the accused entered an East End grocery store and selected just over $700.00 worth of meat and dairy products. The accused then left the store without paying for the items and was apprehended by store security.

Officers attended and the accused was charged with 1 count of theft under $5000.00. He will appear in court on February 13th, 2017.
