Theft caught on camera


Crime Stoppers and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service are seeking the public’s assistance in solving incident of theft.

When shoplifting occurs to small business, the impact can be more devastating. It makes it difficult to stock items, creates higher prices and even causing some businesses to close its doors.

On the 5 December 2016 at approximately 6 pm two females entered HR Lash Department store located at 308 John Street.

The one female proceeded to take a pair of white and black Canada Goose down filled gloves valued at $125.00.

The suspect concealed the gloves exiting the store with the other female and the two left in a vehicle.

The suspect was described as 20’s native female approximately 5’8” 220lbs wearing a beige sweater.

  1. Why post these videos a month or two or more after the fact? I see this all the time.
    This likely would have been wrapped up long before now had the video been posted in a timely manner.
