Can you handle more snow? There’s lots more coming…

Another dumping of snow is likely today as a quick moving Alberta Clipper swings in. Environment Canada is forecasting another 15cm of new snow from this system and if that materializes, that will leave us with about 75cm on the ground!

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Agawa
  • Lake Superior Park
  • Searchmont
  • Montreal River Harbour
  • Batchawana Bay
  • Sault Ste. Marie

An Alberta Clipper sailing towards the Great Lakes will spread a large area of snow across Northern Ontario today into tonight.

Most regions will receive a total of 10 to 15 cm of snow from this weather system.

Poor winter driving conditions are expected from lower visibility in heavier snow. Untreated roads may be snow covered and slippery. Motorists should allow extra time to reach their destination.

These snowfall amounts are just below the warning criterion for a snowfall warning.
