The City of Sault Ste. Marie would like to advise residents of schedule changes for Family Day operations.
The following facilities and services will be closed Monday, February 20th:
- Cemetery office
- Children’s Centre – Jessie Irving
- City Landfill and Household Hazardous Waste Depot
- Civic Centre
- Ermatinger•Clergue National Historic Site
- Essar Centre office and box office
- Public Library – Korah branch
- Public Works office. For 24 hour emergency service requests, call 705-759-5201
- Sault Transit office
- Seniors’ Centres (Drop-In and Steelton)
- Social Services – including Ontario Works, Housing Services, Community Child Care and Administration Offices
Refuse & Recycling Collection – No collection February 20th. Collection for the balance of the week will be one day late.
The following facilities and services will operate Monday, February 20th:
- Essar Centre – Wacky Wings Free Family Day Skate from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- John Rhodes Community Centre Arenas – Open for scheduled events.
- John Rhodes Community Centre Pool – Open 11:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. for Lane Swim & 1 to 3 p.m. for Public Swim.
- McMeeken Centre Arena – Open for scheduled events.
- Northern Community Centre – Open 1 to 4 p.m. for Free Family Sports Drop In Day.
- Outdoor Rinks and Art Jennings Oval – Open weather permitting (refer to onsite signage).
- Public Library – Centennial Library is open 12 to 6 p.m.
- Transit Service – Regular hourly service. First bus departs terminal at 6:15 a.m. and last bus departs terminal at 11:15 p.m. Parabus service will run as usual. No Community Bus. For transit info call 705-759-5438.
