Sault breaks temperature record!

0

A surge of warm air thanks to the jet stream riding much above us on Saturday resulted in a new temperature record for Sault Ste. Marie and for several communities in the Province.

The mercury shot up to 8.2 c Saturday breaking the old record of 7.4c in 1981. The warm spring-like weather is expected to stay in place for the next 6 days or so with temperatures forecast from 4c to 9c with a chance of rain showers on Tuesday. With the help of a warm sun , several centimeters of snow was also melted away and it’s forecast if conditions continue until Friday, half the snow pack could be gone in the city.
