PUC would like to update water customers on the planned Shannon Well restart scheduled for today (February 14th). Unfortunately, due to equipment failure, today’s restart procedure needed to be rescheduled. Currently, the well is expected to be returned to service tomorrow afternoon (February 15th). PUC will advise customers should the restart procedure need to be postponed again.
Customers are reminded that during the restart procedure, there is a chance, some customers in the area could experience discoloured water. This is because anytime there is a significant change in the rate and direction of water flow within the distribution system, sediment in the watermains can be disturbed and carried along with the water.
