If you think we were done with winter because it’s March1st, think again. A system expected to push through today could leave us with an extra 20 cm by tomorrow.

Snowfall warning in effect for:

Sault Ste. Marie – St. Joseph Island
Snowfall, with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected.

Snow is expected to intensify later this morning as a strong Colorado low tracks northeastward over Lake Huron and Georgian Bay.

15 to 25 centimetres of snow are expected today and into this evening before the snow comes to an end in the wake of the low pressure area later tonight.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.

Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
