A man turned himself in to Sault Ste. Marie Police after robing a gas station and taking a clerk hostage.
According to U.S. media, the man fled after robbing the Admiral gas station in Sault Michigan around 2:40am Thursday.
Police say the man had a gun and stole gasoline, cigarettes and cash before fleeing with a clerk from the store. The armed man drove south on I-75 where he let the clerk off before heading across the border into Canada. At that time the suspect turned himself over to Canadian police. No further details have been released by Sault Ste. Marie Police Services at this time.
