A letter was sent to city hall recently from a couple in Owen Sound who loved visiting the city, was thankful to finally see the Bushplane Heritage Centre but disappointed that Team Jacobs was not represented on any of our highway billboards.
Mayor Christian Provenzano responded to the letter saying that council will look into the matter and that Team Jacobs is definitely something we should be proud of.
Team Jacobs as you know are our local curling champions. Winners of the gold medal at the 2014 Olympics and silver at the 2013 World Men’s Curling Championship, they are definitely something to give the city pride.
Look at Monday’s city council to see the outcome and if they will be honoured on a local billboard.
