Freezing rain warning in effect for:

Agawa – Lake Superior Park
Wawa – Pukaskwa Park
White River – Dubreuilville

Ice build-up due to freezing rain is expected or occurring.

Freezing rain today.

Freezing rain is expected today as a spring storm moves into the region this morning. Freezing rain will change to rain by early this evening as temperatures rise above the zero degree mark.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots will become icy, slippery and hazardous. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance. Ice build-up may cause tree branches to break. Utility outages may occur.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
