It’s Spring time! , the time where the grass turns green, the days are warm and we all look forward to a nice Summer season. It’s also the time of year when the Animal Assistance Group gets really busy.
The volunteer rescue group sends endless time saving cats and kittens, some being abandoned, some have been hurt or injured and others are expecting a litter.
Here’s just a sample of the cats waiting for a new home!
“Taag is desperate need of funding to help much need kittens and cats coming in because it is kitten season and we still have about 10 females alone to fix still” Cheryl-Joanne Lovelace Alberta told SaultOnline.com
“We helped out 4 families this year because OSPCA asked for our assistance and that put our vet bill up and with an outstanding bill of $2000.00 that we struggling to pay off.” The TAAG volunteer said.
Just 2 families alone cost the not for profit group $1000.00 which consisted of 15 cats and 10 kittens in total for TAAG to rescue.
TAAG adopted out 321. The group arranged and financed 255 spays, 232 neuters, for felines. They also did 7 male dogs and 2 female dogs. TAAG had to euthanized 10 felines. 8 because of felv/ fiv virus and two others due to ill health.
As the group prepares for another busy kitten season, many of them being born feral, TAAG is in desperate need to pay down vet bills.
The group is urging people to make a financial donation to help off set the on going health and welfare of the cats and kittens while they wait to be adopted.
