The recent outstanding results from the 2016 National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN) and the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Exam (CPNRE) of students from Sault College’s Collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) and Practical Nursing (PN) programs has reinforced Sault College’s commitment to delivering high-quality learning and education.

To become Registered Nurses and Registered Practical Nurses in Ontario, students must successfully pass the NCLEX and CPNRE. It is with great pride that we announce that the Sault College students from both the BScN and PN programs earned high scores among similar programs across the province.

With an ultimate pass rate of 92 percent, students of Sault College’s BScN program scored well above the provincial average of 86.9 percent! Practical Nursing students also exceeded the provincial average of 92.6 percent obtaining an ultimate pass rate of 96.5 percent!
“These results are a true testament to our amazing programs, dedicated and passionate faculty, and hardworking students,” says Marilyn King, Dean, Health, Community Services and Interdisciplinary Studies. “Students are our top priority and our faculty is committed to preparing them for a successful future in the nursing profession. These results are a direct reflection of their ongoing hard work, and the quality education students receive here at Sault College. I am extremely proud of this great accomplishment,” she adds.

Further information and details on the NCLEX and CPNRE are available on the College of Nurses of Ontario website at www.cno.org.
