On April 12th, 2017 officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 17 year old male in relation to a theft from a local high school.
It is alleged that the male took several items belonging to other students from a locker room in the school. The items included an iPhone 6, Beats wireless headphones, several other earbud headphones and cash. The total value of goods stolen was just over $1,600.
The accused was charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of possession of stolen property. He will appear in court on May 19th, 2017.
Male Arrested for Domestic Violence Incident
On April 12th, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 35 year old male in relation to a Domestic Violence Incident.
It is alleged that at approximately 9:30 p.m. on April 12th, 2017 the accused was walking with his girlfriend on Pim Street. The two engaged in a verbal argument and the accused charged at the victim knocking her to the ground.
It was further alleged that on January 28th, 2017 the accused again engaged in a verbal argument with the victim. The accused pushed the victim against a wall and grabbing her by the breasts.
The accused has been charged with one count of assault and one count of sexual assault. He will appear in bail court today.
