The ‘Ideal Art Space’ is officially open and welcomes the community to gather in celebration.

Sault Ste. Marie, ON, April 18, 2017: The ARTSPEAKS team is at it again, and would like to invite the community to join them in celebration of the grand opening of the ‘Ideal Art Space’ at 724 Queen Street East; the official home of The ARTSPEAKS Project, Friday April 21, 2017 from 4pm-6pm.

With the ARTSPEAKS Workshops Series and ART-Drop Fridays in full motion, the ARTSPEAKS team would like to mark the occasion together with community supporters by way of a come and go Meet & Greet with project artists and their partner agency representatives. Check out the studio, make some art, and enjoy complimentary refreshments provided by the Gore Street Cafe.

About ARTSPEAKS

The ARTSPEAKS Project is a one-year pilot-project intended to offer women and female-identifying folks impacted by sexual violence, addictions and mental health challenges the opportunity to participate in a series of arts-based skills development workshops as facilitated by three local visual artists– –learning the basics of art, design and narrative processes towards the creation of personally meaningful and exhibition-ready art works. ARTSPEAKS is generously funded by the Ontario Trillium Fund and represents the partnering of three local agencies invested in women’s health: Breton House, Phoenix Rising and the SAH’s Sexual Assault Care Centre. For more information about The ARTSPEAKS Project, please visit its website at: www.theartspeaksproject.org.

Please Note: At this time the ‘Ideal Art Space’ is not accessible to those folks requiring modified accessibility.
