Winter parking prohibition continues

2

Public Works and Engineering Services would like to inform residents that the Street Sweeping Program has begun. Crews will be working 7 days a week removing sand from streets and sidewalks.

Residents are reminded that the winter parking prohibition (Traffic By-law 77-200, Schedule A) is still in effect. Parking is not permitted on city streets at any time between midnight and 6 a.m. from November 1 to April 30.

Public Works and Engineering Services appreciate the cooperation of residents by keeping vehicles parked in driveways and off the streets, whenever possible.

  1. April 3oth is not realistic. We experience warmer weather now and the prohibition SHOULD END April 1st…15th at the very latest.

    • True, but if you have bad winter weather late in March and into April, it would not allow the city much time to clean the sand. I would rather have the mess cleaned up and forego road parking overnight for a couple of weeks. Moving the dates around to accommodate early/late spring would be more of a nuisance.
