Female Arrested for Robbery

On May 25th, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrested 25 year old Destiny Levesque of Sault Ste Marie in relation to a robbery.

It is alleged that on May 25th, the accused attended a department store in the 200 block of Bay Street and selected approximately $130.00 worth of merchandise. The accused then left the store making no attempt to pay for the items. When the accused was approached by store security she made repeated threats to pull out a knife before she left the area.

The accused was later located by officers and arrested. While being placed under arrest, the accused refused to comply with officers and was actively pulling away from them while being arrested.

The accused was taken into custody and charged with one count of Robbery and one count of Resisting Arrest. She was held for bail court.

  1. If someone identifies themselves as loss prevention for the store you’re stealing from you should probably stop talking and start listening. Not like she will go to jail unless she repeat robber anyway…This is Canada.

  2. There seems to be a fine line between shoplifting and robbery. I always though a robbery was when the culprit held a clerk at bay with a weapon..i.e. a knife or gun.
