Female faces theft charges


On May 17th, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 56 year old Mary Nott of Nelson Street in relation to a theft.

It is alleged that on April 20th, 2017 the accused attended The Hilltribe Store on Bay Street and selected approximately $40.00 worth of merchandise. The accused concealed the item on her person and left the store without paying.

The accused was located by police on May 17th and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.00. She will appear in court on June 26th, 2017.
