Police Week Ontario runs from May 14 to 20, 2017. The goal for Police Week in Ontario is to highlight ways in which police organizations, officers, police personnel, and community partners are working together to achieve safe and healthy communities.

Displays from law enforcement and community agencies filled the Station Mall on Tuesday, May 16th, 2017. Police Day in Sault Ste. Marie, brought together over 30 social services from the district in conjunction with the 2017 theme, “Working Together for Safer Communities”.

The theme aims to promote a collaborative approach towards safer and healthier communities in Ontario, while also recognizing the important role of the police in helping to achieve that goal. It also celebrates the positive relationship between local police and the communities in which they serve.
