The combined 155 Air and 2310 Army Pipe & Drum Band are in North Bay this weekend to defend their title as Top Pipe and Drum Band in Ontario. 360 Sea, Army and Air Cadets from across the North will be competing at the Northern Ontario Area Cadet Band & Drill Competition in North Bay’s Pete Palangio Arena.

The Royal Sovereign 46 Sea Cadet Corps will be competing in the Military Band category. The 2310 Army along with the 155 Air will also be competing in Saturday’s Drill Team portion to see who will advance in their respective categories.

The cadets will be marked on individual drill, upkeep of their uniforms, complicated drill moves, memorizing silent drill routines and music while performing to the judges that will asses and mark each to reflect the standings with the winners advancing. The determination on the faces and confidence of these cadets who have worked so hard to earn a spot to represent their cadet unit and communities will be at the fore front of this competition.The winning teams of each category will advance to the provincial competition held at CFB Borden.
