Female Charged with Theft

On May 4th, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 45 year old Shannon Edwards of Biggings Avenue in relation to a theft.

It is alleged that on May 4th, 2017 the accused attended a store on Great Northern Road and selected just over $70.00 worth of merchandise before she left the store without paying.
The accused was apprehended by store security and held for police.

The accused was charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of breach of probation. She will appear in court on June 5th, 2017.

Male Charged with Robbery

On May 4th, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 19 year old Brent Boissoneau-Stone in relation to a robbery.

It is alleged that on April 14th, 2017 the accused attended a convenience store on Second Line West, selected a handful of items and left without paying. When the accused was confronted outside by the staff member he is alleged to have pulled out a knife and threatened the staff member.

The accused was located on May 4th, 2017 and arrested. He was charged with one count of robbery. He will appear in court on June 5th, 2017.

Male Charged with Possession of Stolen Property

On May 6th, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 25 year old Matthew Rivera of no fixed address in relation to a stolen vehicle.

Just after 9:00 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop on a motor vehicle driven by Mr. Rivera. A check of the vehicle revealed that it was reported stolen from Winnipeg Manitoba on April 25th, 2017. The accused was subsequently arrested and charged with one count of possession of stolen property and one count of breach of probation. He was held for bail court.
