Greyhounds select Ramus Sandin and Ramus Kupari

The Annual CHL Import Draft involving all member CHL teams began at 11 a.m. this morning.

With their first round selection (52nd overall), the Greyhounds selected RASMUS SANDIN from Brynas IF Jr.

This past season (2016-17), Sandin played in 36 games for Brynas IF J20 of the SuperElit league compiling 3 goals and 15 assists, good for 18 points. He was also a member of the gold-medal winning Team Sweden at the 2016 World Under 17 Hockey Challenge where he notched 2 assists in 6 games played.

With their second round selection (112th overall) in the 2017 CHL Import Draft, the Greyhounds selected RASMUS KUPARI from Kostka Oulu B.

In 43 games split among Karpat U18/U20, Kupari notched 12 goals and 19 assists, good for 31 points. He also represented Team Finland at both the U17 and U18 levels. At the 2017 IIHF U18 tournament, Rasmus had 3 assists in 7 games played as he and Team Finland captured a silver medal.
