A group of young competitive students at Studio Dance Arts have been awarded invitations to prestigious programs.

Jenna Allison (11yrs), Keira Belle Lamming (11yrs) and Mitchel Hopf (10yrs) traveled to Sudbury to audition for Canada’s National Ballet School this past season. All three students were accepted into the highly esteemed Toronto professional ballet academy’s upcoming summer program. Jenna Allison and Kiera Belle Lamming both attended the NBS summer program in July of 2015.

Katelyn Tull (12yrs) was also re-invited back to the school bypassing the audition. Last summer, she attended The National’s summer program in July 2016 and was invited to become a full-time student at their ballet and academics program for the 16/17 season. She opted to remain in Sault Ste .Marie. Katelyn also attended the NBS summer program in July of 2015.

All four students will be attending Canada’s prestigious ballet school summer program this July 2017.

Two other SDA competitive dancers recently were honored and received invitations to be a Team Canada Representative at the World Dance Championships 2018 in Spain. Abigail Guzzo (12yrs) and Ava Zachary (13yrs) both attended Bedazzled Dance Championships at the Blue Mountain Resort this past May 2017. Their high score solo wins at the competition qualified them a place on Team Canada without having to audition in Toronto.

These talented young dancers were part of Studio Dance Arts competitive team, which received the Highest Score of the Competition at Blue Mountain.

“We’re super proud of how far our students have come this season. They’ve all worked so hard and have made some great progress in their technique and performance skills. Their dedication and love for the art of dance is extremely inspiring,” says Founder/Executive Director Richard Kim

“And the amazing support our Studio Dance Arts parents gives us helps to foster a path to success for the entire school. We’re so grateful for that,” says Assistant Studio Director Tania Castellani-Greco.

They can all be seen at Studio Dance Arts year end show Saturday, June 17th at Kiwanis Theatre (2pm & 6pm shows). Tickets are available at the Station Mall Box Office.
