On June 2nd, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 30 year old male in relation to a domestic violence incident.
It is alleged that on June 2nd, the accused attended the residence of an ex-girlfriend and forced his way into her residence by forcing a window open. It was further alleged that the accused had assaulted the female on May 18th, 2017 by grabbing her by the hair and pulling her head around. The accused also repeatedly communicated with the victim between May 18th, and June 2nd, causing her to fear for her safety.
The accused was located on June 2nd, 2017 by police and charged with one count of assault, one count of break and enter and one count of criminal harassment. He was held for WASH court.
