Single Vehicle Crash on Queen West

A vehicle was destroyed but no major injuries reported late Sunday night from a single vehicle collision on Queen Street West.

Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services, City Police Services and EMS were dispatched to the area near the Travel Information Centre where a van collided with a utility pole around 11:30 pm

Emergency crews spent several hours cleaning up debris that was scattered around the street from Huron street to the Apple orchard at Etienne Brule School. Gas and other fluid also leaked from the vehicle.

The passenger in the vehicle was taken away by city police.
