The Sault Ste. Marie Canal is excited to host the second annual The Lock’s Big Picnic, on Saturday, June 17 from 11am to 5pm for this family event and celebrate the 100th anniversary of Canada’s National Historic Sites, and Canada’s 150th anniversary with free admission in 2017!
Visitors looking for a memorable weekend activity will enjoy this fun and relaxed event with free admission. Families will have a blast playing various lawn games, and everyone’s invited to get a Parks Canada airbrush tattoo.
The event will have a local craft beer tent and food vendors on site, as well as great live music. A number of community organizations will be offering activities for all ages. ARCH Hospice will be hosting their Dragonfly Day and the final showdown of their Cartime Karaoke event. Bring a blanket, find a shady spot on the grass, and enjoy the festivities!
