Male arrested for mischief
On July 26th, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 57 year old John Lavergne of Porcupine Ontario regarding a mischief complaint.
It is alleged that at 2:30 a.m. the accused attended the residence of a person known to him where he removed light bulbs from motion sensor lights and then used a knife to flatten the tires on a bicycle belonging to the victim.
Police located the accused later that morning and he was charged with 2 counts of mischief under $5,000. He will appear in court on August 28th, 2017.
Male arrested for assault
On July 25th, 2017 offices with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 33 year old Travas Bourcier of Sudbury Ontario in relation to a stabbing investigation.
It is alleged that on July 25th, the accused engaged in an altercation with a male that is known to him. The accused then stabbed the victim multiple times and left the area. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The accused was located a short distance away by officers and placed in custody. He has been charged with one count of assault with a weapon and was held for bail court.
