On July 21st, 2017 officers with the Investigations Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 34 year old Crystal Wagner of Bloor Street West in relation to a fraud investigation.
It is alleged that on June 30th, the accused and another female located a bank card belonging to a victim that was not known to them. The two then used the bank card to make just under $90.00 in unauthorized purchases.
Wagner was arrested on July 21st and charged with one count of fraud and one count of breach of probation. She will appear in court on August 28th, 2017. Officers are continuing to make attempts to locate the second female.
Female Arrested for Theft
On July 21st, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 29 year old Sara Levesque of Pilgrim Street in relation to a theft.
It is alleged that on July 21st, the accused attended a store in the 200 block of McNabb Street where she selected just over $100.00 in items and left the store without paying for them. The accused was apprehended by store security and held for police.
She has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and will appear in court on August 28th, 2017.
Male arrested for Domestic Violence
On July 22nd, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 25 year old male in relation to a domestic violence investigation.
It is alleged that just after 9:00 a.m. on July 22nd; the accused broke into the residence of his ex-girlfriend and assaulted another male that was located there. The accused assaulted this male by punching him and striking him with an unknown object. The accused threatened to kill the male victim and then grabbed the female victim and pushed her up against a wall.
The accused then stole an amount of cash belonging to his ex-girlfriend and he left the area. Police were contacted and the accused was located and arrested. He has been charged with
- Two counts of assault,
- One count of theft under $5,000,
- One count of assault with a weapon,
- One count of uttering threats,
- 3 counts of breach of probation,
- One count of breach of recognizance, and;
- One count of break and enter
Hes was held for bail court.
