Six surprises in one!

Colette Gray shares a good news story with us,

I just wanted to submit a wonderful story of the generosity of our community. I am the Supervisor of after school programming out of the Soup Kitchen Community Centre. Our program that runs at our Etienne Brule Public School site – Back to Basics, received a wonderful surprise at the end of June, and here is the story…

Eric Eddy contacted me back in April or May to inquire if any children in our after school programs were in need of bikes. In June, six very deserving children received bicycles, a helmet and lock! All of the children enrolled in the program received amazing bike safety tips from Eric as well. This even was made possible through the Sault Cycling Club and the local shops that support them, Velorution Bike and Ski and Algoma Bicycles. Both of those shops provided bike donations and assistance in getting the new helmets and locks for the kids.

Bikes offer freedom for children, and it is something that all children should be able to experience. Our community never fails to amaze me!
