Male arrested in armed robbery


On August 2nd, 2017 officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service’s Break and Enter Unit arrested 30 year old Tyler Seaton of St. Georges Avenue in relation to a robbery.

It is alleged that on July 25th, 2017 the accused attended a business in the 300 block of McDonald Avenue with another male. The two males went into the business with their faces covered while carrying metal objects and demanding items from the staff.

Both accused persons fled the area after the robbery and police were contacted. Police were able to identify Mr. Seaton and he was taken into custody on August 2nd, 2017. He has been charged with;

  • One count of robbery,
  • One count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose,
  • One count of wearing a disguise; and,
  • One count of possession of stolen property

He was held for bail court and the investigation is continuing.


  1. A quick slap on the wrist should see him back on the street in no time.
    Murder is about the only thing that will keep them in jail, even then..
