On Camera: Break and Enter to Value Village


Crime Stoppers and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service are asking your assistance in identifying suspects in a break and enter.

In the early morning of August 12, 2017 unidentified individuals attended at the rear of Value Village located at 248 Northern Avenue East.

A storage trailer lock was cut and entry was gained into the unit.

Over the course of several hours numerous people came and took items from the storage trailer.

House wear items and clothing were taken valued at approximately $1000.

Two female suspects attended in a black truck, 2 individuals came in electric powered wheelchairs along with several other individuals.

The incident was caught on video.

If you can identify any of these suspects and your information leads to an arrest you may be eligible for a cash reward.

  1. I find it ironic really. With some of the prices that they put on second hand clothing I feel robbed shopping there. Profit is profit but come on, I can usually buy things brand new at walmart for the EXACT same price, if not less. That being said, I don’t condone their actions.

  2. Just when you think things are leveling out with petty crimes against the plaza stores more losers come out of the woodwork, in wheel chairs even!, stealing smelly, musty second hand stuff that most would want nothing to do with.
    Where are the motion detectors that send a signal to the cop shop or alarm monitoring service to get these things responded to?
