Excitement has filled the air at Sault College as we welcomed more than 2,350 new and returning post-secondary students for the fall semester! With an overall growth in enrolment of just over three percent from last year, Sault College is home to students from our community, our province and across the globe! Combining our post-secondary enrolment with our apprenticeship students and continuing education, over 4,000 students are enrolled at Sault College.
International recruitment continues to complement our overall recruitment strategy and, this year alone, Sault College has seen an increase of approximately 50 percent in international enrolment! With more than 150 international students representing 17 countries from around the world, we continue to grow and offer a diverse and inclusive campus for all our students.
“We are tremendously proud that each one of these students chose Sault College,” says Dr. Ron Common, Sault College President. “We strive to continuously improve our campus and programs, so we can offer our students an engaging and unique post-secondary experience and the best education possible.”
Capital investments in our College are ongoing with projects currently underway for our new iE3 building, Waterfront and Tennis Centre and Early Learning and Care Centre. We continue to invest in our students and their learning, a value that was recently acknowledged when Sault College was presented Colleges and Institutes Canada’s (CICan) Indigenous Education Excellence Award earlier this year.
Every improvement and investment is all to benefit our students, who continue to share their positive feedback through the key performance indicator survey. In 2017, our students ranked Sault College first for the overall quality of facilities for the fourth consecutive year, number one in the province for overall quality of learning experience, and in the top two for overall student satisfaction for the sixth year in a row!
