The James Street Soup Kitchen and Community Centre is facing a substantial shortage of food on the shelves. Saultonline caught up with the dedicated manager of the Community Centre, Ron Sim.
He shared details of an innovative community challenge called ‘You Have Been Challenged’ that the Community Centre has started.
The idea is for individuals, faith groups, businesses and organizations to donate a bag or box of food, and in turn, challenge three other groups or individuals to do the same.
The campaign has been launched on the Soup Kitchen Community Centre’s Facebook Page here: www.facebook.com
Follow the Campaign along and post your challenge there.

CLEANING SUPPLIES
The Parkland Public School is having a fund raiser. They are selling two bundles of area grown veggies and I’ve asked all the people that buy those bundles, and can do without them, to donate them to the Soup Kitchen. There has been a positive response so far. The lady that I purchased from is Tracy Poliquin and she can be found on FaceBook. Thank you.
