Coats for Kids Campaign Needs Your Help

0

With the fall season being unexpectedly warm most people in  Sault Ste Marie have not had a chance to get their fall closet sorting done.  As the deadline for the 23rd Annual Coats for Kids Campaign approaches, organizers are finding that the racks are bare at the depot located at Community Living Algoma.  We need the community’s support to help fill these racks by October 27th so please spread the word and some warmth!  Take the time this weekend to look through your closets and donate any gently used winter outerwear.

An annual sponsored program for the past 22 years, Coats for Kids provides infants, children, teens as well as adults with gently used winter jackets, snowsuits, boots and other suitable winter wear.  The program began when it became clear that children of all ages were struggling through cold northern winters without the proper clothing to keep them warm and dry.

The following community supporters are currently collecting gently used winter jackets, snowsuits, boots and outerwear until Friday, October 27, 2017.

Drop off locations are as follows:

Fountain Tire

Algoma Insurance

Skeggs, Paciocco Law Firm

Floreani O’Toole, Dool Orthodontists

Jon’s Medicine Shoppe

Great Lakes Honda

Coats for Kids distribution will be held at Community Living Algoma at 105 White Oak Drive East on Saturday, November 4 from 10 am to 1 pm.
