The Searchmont Station Historical Society, is once again seeking the community, and surrounding areas support for the goal of wining up to $100,000 for the rebuilding of the station in Searchmont.
“This is an important project, as people have a chance now to help save it before it is gone, and we lose another chapter of our railway heritage.”, Brown said.
We ask the public to vote – all 18 votes to the station idea, as we have to be one of the top 15 to make to the finials. All one needs to do is register on the site, and then cast all 18 votes. There is a short time frame in which to cast those votes, the deadline being October 19th.
The station previously attempted to gain votes on previous attempts, but was unable to make the finials, even though there was a lot of support.
The Aviva Community Fund invests in local not-for-profit projects that better a community. To date it has provided more than $7.5 million in idea funding with another $1 million of funding planned for this year.

We do suggest that not doing this on ones cell, rather at a computer, or tablet as people have mentioned that it will give a security pop up issue – but you can go past that and it will allow you to vote.
