Thunderbirds host “Pink In The Rink” night Saturday

The Soo Thunderbirds will be hosting their “Pink In The Rink” night on Saturday, October 28th in their home game against the Hearst Lumberjacks at 7:30 p.m. from the John Rhodes Community Centre.

The team will be wearing pink jerseys that game to help support Breast Cancer Awareness Month and the jerseys will be auctioned on the Soo Thunderbirds Facebook page beginning the day after the game.

A ceremonial puck drop will take place prior to the game to honour those who have battled the disease, those who are winning the fight, and those who have survived.

Bids for the jerseys must start at a minimum of $50 and a portion of the sales will go towards breast cancer research.

Fans will have two weeks to bid on the jerseys on the Soo Thunderbirds Facebook page following Saturday night’s game.
