Today marks the end of week one voting with only seven days left to get your vote in for the Aviva Community Fund grant for the Bellevue Park splash pad project.
Part of the decision for funding is contingent upon you, our community supporters.
“I am excited to see the public support in voting for this important initiative,” states City Councillor Paul Christian, Chair of the City’s Bellevue Park Splash Pad Committee. “The Aviva Fund would go a long way to help us build the City’s first Splash Pad”.
Anyone registered with the Aviva Community Fund has 18 votes that they may use at any time. Residents are being asked to cast all 18 votes for the Sault Ste. Marie splash pad.
Here’s how to vote:
1) Visit www.saultstemarie.ca/votesplashpad
2) Click the ‘Register’ button to get your 18 votes.
3) Register by creating an account or using your Facebook login.
4) Cast all 18 votes to support the Sault Ste. Marie Splash Pad.
5) Click ‘submit votes’.
“The support for this project to date has been overwhelming and we are grateful for the commitment shown by our community,” says Virginia McLeod, Manager Recreation and Culture, City of Sault Ste. Marie. “We still have quite a ways to go and are urging voters, if they have not done so already, to register and vote now.”
Residents are asked to promote the idea by sharing the link on social media and telling everyone, including friends and family, to vote.
