Downtown Association Manager Josh Ingram all set for the magic this year!

You know the holiday shopping season is upon us with the annual Downtown Moonlight Magic event happening this Thursday.

SaultOnline.com chatted with Josh Ingram, Downtown Association Manager about this year’s event and why you should make it down to get some good deals and kick off your holiday shopping in style.

What can we expect this year at the Moonlight Magic?

Josh: Hot chocolate competition, late night deals, tree lighting at 7pm at the courthouse, stuff a bus, and so much more.

What is new this year at the Moonlight Magic?

Josh: Bed Races, enter your team and race down queen street to win $100 DTA cash, Smores stations on every block.

Tell us about the First Bed Race? How did you come up with this idea?

Josh: Bon Soo used to do bed races, for one reason or another they thought it was time to put the event…to bed. Well this year we thought that the Downtown Boundaries (lovingly referred to by some as a bowling alley by some) would be a great venue to have a no holds bar bed race! We’re looking forward to this years pilot inaugural year, if you’re not racing come down and see what the fun is about and enter next year!

The Heritage Square Scavenger Hunt is back. Explain what people have to do?

Josh: All you have to do is pick up a ballot at any of the participating businesses in Heritage square or the Downtown Association. Get your ballot stamped at every participating business on the ballot and enter to win over $1,000 in prizing!
